Design that makes complex systems clear
I help teams untangle difficult problems, turning dense workflows, ambiguous requirements, and legacy constraints into products people can actually use.
Built for complex problems
I'm a senior UX and product designer with over two decades of experience across enterprise tools, healthcare platforms, design systems, mobile apps, internal systems, and emerging technology.
My work sits between systems thinking, interaction design, and clear communication. I'm useful on projects where the complexity is real: role-based workflows, sensitive information, fragmented systems, multi-step processes, or tools that need to support better decisions.
I've designed for AWS marketing systems, Amazon Books fulfillment workflows, a statewide healthcare eConsent platform, aviation training tools, hardware-connected mobile apps, and spatial computing concepts. Across that range, the goal is usually the same: make the structure clearer so people can do their work with less confusion.
Grounded, rigorous, and collaborative
Map the system
I start by understanding the landscape: users, roles, workflows, constraints, existing tools, business needs, and the real problem underneath the request. That can include user research, stakeholder interviews, workshops, workflow mapping, SME conversations, and reviewing messy source material like RFPs, legacy systems, or existing documentation.
Make it legible
Complex does not have to mean confusing. I work to surface structure, create hierarchy, and give people clear orientation through dense information, role-based flows, and multi-step tasks.
Design it to hold up
I work closely with product, engineering, research, and stakeholders to turn rough requirements into flows, prototypes, documentation, and buildable design decisions. I use and build design systems where they help the work stay consistent, scalable, and easier to maintain.
Areas of practice
Web & Mobile
Responsive web, mobile apps, and cross-platform product design, including mobile-first healthcare flows, hardware-connected mobile tools, and larger-screen product concepts.
Healthcare & Regulated Workflows
Privacy-sensitive healthcare workflows involving patients, providers, parents, guardians, staff roles, consent, access, and permissions.
Enterprise Tools
Internal platforms, admin workflows, aviation training tools, fulfillment systems, and business-critical products with dense information and multi-step tasks.
Design Systems
Reusable components, page patterns, templates, documentation, and shared structures that help teams and outside partners work more consistently.
Spatial & XR
AR, VR, and spatial interface concepts, including architectural collaboration tools, assistive AR concepts, and multi-application spatial computing research.
Research & Strategy
Discovery, workflow mapping, journey maps, service blueprints, usability evaluation, and research-informed design decisions.
Open to senior IC UX and product design roles
I'm interested in senior IC roles and select consulting engagements, especially with teams working on complex workflows, internal tools, healthcare products, design systems, mobile interaction design, or emerging interfaces. If you're building something complex and need a designer who can go deep, I'd be happy to talk.
